I’ve always had a small passion for the theatre, which is why I volunteer with my local theatre group, but I’ve always enjoyed the behind the scenes work on many things and that has included lighting.
There are lights that have been sitting around my place and so I figured I may as well try and put them to use and possibly have some more fun making peoples events brighter… (Yes I know that was bad).
Being your own client is quite the interesting occurrence. I found that acting like the client first can be a big help so you can get what you know what you want first. Having a vision is great but you need to write it down and use it so you don’t get too carried away with every idea that pops up which is what some people may get caught up doing.
This was a full, from scratch project, including both the website as well as logo design and some video work. Fonts are always fun to play with and when you find one that just works it is great because you really get the feeling of what everything is going to be about.
So with my bases covered it was down to just the website, which I’ve gone with WordPress as I am enjoying using it. I stayed with primarily white theming to keep everything light and because I typically use dark themes I wanted to try something different.
